The Bukhari Creative Group is honored to have contributed to the extraordinary cultural exhibition at the Ithra Gallery - King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, supported by Aramco. The exhibition, titled "In Praise of the Artisanal Artist," celebrates the creativity of artisans in the Islamic world, showcasing talent and masterpieces from across the globe.
This exhibit features a unique heritage art installation alongside other representations of global cultural heritage at Ithra Gallery, with a special focus on Uzbekistan's rich cultural legacy. A highlight of the exhibition is a breathtaking Mihrab Art installation, inspired by the ancient Samarkand cut-tile mosaic art, a tradition mastered by generations of artisans from Samarkand. Drawing inspiration from the historical significance of the Shakhi-Zinda mausoleum complex in Samarkand, the design symbolizes the deep cultural ties between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia.
Crafted with mosaic tiles in shades of blue, the Mihrab reflects the architectural legacy of the Timurid dynasty, with intricate floral and geometric patterns. The creative team from Uzbekistan, including a curator, architect, tilework master, and calligrapher, has brought this masterpiece to life, infusing it with both spiritual and cultural significance.
We are incredibly grateful to have such an amazing team of artisans by our side, and we are honored to represent our Uzbek culture to the global public. A special thanks to our artisans, whose dedication made this vision a reality, and to our partners at the Ithra Gallery, without whom this magical fusion of cultures would not have been possible.
