The Bukhari Creative Group proudly presented the Bukhari: Islamic Art Exhibition as part of the Harmony Istiqlal Festival, held at Masjid Istiqlal, Indonesia’s one of the cultural landmark.s This immersive exhibition combines traditional Islamic art with most modern technology, offering visitors a unique and interactive way to experience the rich heritage of Central Asia and the Islamic world.
With over 15,000 visitors in 2,5-month period (10 December 2024 – 28 February 2025), the exhibition was a significant success, reflecting the increasing public engagement in new-format cultural experiences. Supported by the Ministry of Culture, Education, and Technology of Indonesia, the event showcased virtual reality (VR), film, digital installations, and by incorporating NFC-based visitor experiences, blockchain-powered digital guides, and Web3 collectives, the exhibition allows visitors to engage with Islamic heritage in a modern and meaningful way.
Moreover, inspired by the legacy of Imam Al-Bukhari and the artistic traditions of of Islamic cultures, the exhibition introduced visitors to masterpieces in miniature painting, calligraphy, photography, and architecture by renowned artists around the world, enriched with immersive storytelling and interactive elements.
The success of the Bukhari Exhibition in Indonesia is just the beginning. The exhibition is set to travel to other countries, aiming to reach a total of 750,000 visitors in its first year. With a vision to redefine cultural tourism and creative entrepreneurship, Bukhari Creative Group continues to push boundaries in the art and technology space.
