Film Productions
We are making research based films about cultural heritage. So far, in collaboration with the Centre for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, we have produced short documentary films on the outstanding legacy of various scholars of the Islamic Renaissance, whose contributions to world science are undisputed.
The films include interviews with internationally recognized scientists, both in Uzbekistan and abroad, animations based on original Bukhara school miniature paintings, and unique music compositions featuring the sounds of Central Asian culture.
We have already produced films on the contributions of Al-Farabi to music theories, Avicenna’s significance in mediaeval and modern medicine, Al-Biruni’s outstanding discoveries, and with one Al-Khwarizmi’s role in mathematic currently in development.
In addition to this, in collaboration with our project CraftMeetsDesign, we have produced films on living legends of Uzbek Applied Arts who have passed down the secrets of ancient traditions from generation to generation.
